About MyBabyPool

MyBabyPool didn't start as a company. It started with an ultrasound photo and a family that lived too far away to feel the excitement up close.

When we were expecting our first baby, we wanted to share that feeling with everyone we love. But my partner Yass has family spread all over the world. The big news would only reach them afterwards, as a message or a phone call. And yet the best part is the waiting: the guessing, the counting down, the "so, any signs yet?".

So we built something ourselves. A simple page where everyone could guess the birth date, the weight, and whether it would be a boy or a girl. One link, no account, no fuss. Suddenly everyone was playing, from the neighbours to family thousands of miles away. The waiting became a game we played together.

What began as a little project for one baby turned out to be something many more families were waiting for. So we turned it into MyBabyPool: your own baby pool is ready in about a minute, guests join with a single tap, and after the birth the pool automatically works out who knew your baby best.

These days, almost every hour of the day, someone somewhere in the world is guessing a birth date. And still, MyBabyPool remains a family project, made with love in the Netherlands. Every improvement starts from the same idea as back then: everyone who loves you should be able to join in. Wherever they live.
