7 BabyHunch Alternatives for an Online Baby Pool (2026)
The best BabyHunch alternatives for an online baby pool in 2026: MyBabyPool, BabyBookie, Guess the Baby, Bumpool and more, with prices and what guests guess.
Free, and your guests don't need an account.
BabyHunch has been around since 2011 and it is a solid, completely free baby pool. But it is English only, has no app, and guests can only guess the first letter of the name. If one of those matters to you, it is worth knowing what else is out there.
We checked every site below ourselves on 9 October 2026: what it costs, what guests can guess and whether it is still running. One thing we noticed straight away: a few names that still turn up in "best baby pool" lists no longer exist. More on that at the end.
Full disclosure: the first one on the list is ours. We kept the rest as fair as we would want someone to be about us.

1. MyBabyPool: best for families spread over several countries
MyBabyPool started when a Dutch couple wanted their family all over the world to join in the waiting. That shows in the product: the pool runs in eight languages, so grandparents in Portugal and cousins in Germany each see it in their own language on the same link.
- Guess: birth date, time, sex, weight, length, hair, eyes and the full name (worth the most points: 20 out of 65).
- Guests: no account, no app, just a name and email.
- Price: free to start, anyone can join. The first five guesses are visible on the free version. Plus is a one-time $14.99 per pool (£9.99, €12.95) and adds every guess, results emailed to everyone and a keepsake PDF booklet after the birth.
- Apps: iOS and Android for parents who want a ping for every new guess.
Choose it if your family is international, the name is a secret, or you want a keepsake at the end. Our MyBabyPool vs BabyHunch comparison goes deeper.
2. BabyBookie: the simple classic
BabyBookie (from the agency Viget) is one of the oldest names in baby pools. Guests bet on arrival date, time, sex, weight and length, and the score is weighted heavily on timing: 65% of the 100 points is date and time.
- Good: very simple, a leaderboard, and a "baby is born" announcement emailed to everyone in the pool.
- Limits: no name, hair or eye guesses, no custom scoring, no twins in one pool. The site has not visibly changed in years.
- Money: it does not handle money, and suggests collecting via PayPal or Venmo yourself.
3. Guess the Baby: best for multiple choice and money pools
Guess the Baby is an app-first pool. The organiser needs the iOS or Android app; guests play in their browser.
- Guess: mostly multiple choice ("under 7 lbs / 7 to 8 lbs / over 8 lbs", "before or after the due date") plus fun extras like "who will cry first", and your own questions.
- Scoring: percentage of questions answered correctly; the organiser marks each answer.
- Price: free for a demo with 3 players, then a one-time $19.99 on the website.
- Money: it can track buy-ins and split the pot, with payments made outside the app via Venmo, PayPal, Cash App or Zelle.
Choose it if you want brackets instead of exact guesses, or an office pool with a buy-in.
4. Bumpool: new and multilingual
Bumpool launched recently and is free with no sign-up for guests. It covers the usual categories plus first name, resemblance, delivery mode and your own question, with configurable points and a podium image to share. It runs in nine languages. Mobile apps are announced as coming soon.
5. Womb Wager: best for custom questions
Womb Wager is new, free and English only. It offers 15 ready-made questions plus your own, points per question and per-question leaderboards, and emails the results to everyone who voted. Good if you want to design the questions yourself.
6. What's In My Belly: free and old-school
What's In My Belly is free and ad-supported, with guesses on sex, date, time, hair and eyes scored on a weighted points scale. Births are still being logged in 2026, but the rest of the site has not been updated for a long time.
7. Baby Duel: the bare-bones option
Baby Duel keeps it to three guesses: date, weight and sex. Everyone starts at 100 points and loses points for every day and ounce off. You can run it free or with an entry fee that goes to the winner.
And a spreadsheet?
A Google Form or a shared spreadsheet works for a small group, and plenty of people start there. You do the scoring yourself after the birth, which is fine for six guesses and a pain for forty. Our free baby pool template gives you a guess sheet, a date grid and a points board to copy.
Gone: names you may still see recommended
- ExpectNet (expectnet.com) no longer exists; the domain is parked.
- BabyBids (babybids.com) is for sale as a domain.
If an older list or an AI assistant recommends either one, skip it.
